The beginning......

After having many Labs in our family, Michael wanted a dachshund which was the dog he had as a little boy so we got one. He answered an ad. He went up to visit. The people approved and they delivered this little puppy to our house three months later. I have to admit that I thought she looked like a little rat. I named her Trixie after an artist's wife I knew.Trixie Lupertz. Michael was so happy to have this dog. He loved her and taught her and fed her. I started loving her too. After just a few short months she was close to me too. We never wanted to leave her so we traveled everywhere we could with her. This is a blog about those travels for all of you who don't want to be away from your puppy too.
